We would like to introduce and bring Los Angeles based alt-pop singer-songwriter, Samantha Margret into your radar as she shares her debut EP titled “RAGE” out now on all music platforms.
As you first listen, picture a mix of Billie Eilish and Melanie Martinez musical styles and you get this beautiful masterpiece.
The track list packed with lead single, “RAGE,” “Self Disrespect,” and 3 other additions to complete this honest and personal body of work as a women in the industry and in society today. Margret shares:
“This EP is about unlearning beauty culture,
sexism, and gender norms. So much of the oppression women face hides itself by accusing women of
being vain or shallow, but that’s the poison we’re given to cure the illness. Beauty and thinness are the
tools of a much more sinister systemic violence.”

“RAGE” leads this 5-track project with its initial single release on the same day Roe vs. Wade was overturned in the US. Followed by “Lucky Interlude,” a piano filled piece that connects perfectly to the next song, “Fools Gold,” which talks about finding yourself and self-love with beautiful consistent harmonies. Furthermore, is previously released song, “Self Disrespect” and wraps up with a ballad, “Joan of the Arc,” that captures and ends perfectly with this quote:
