As a musician starting off on YouTube, who are your other favorite artists who’ve stemmed from posting covers online?!
Lauren O’Connell, Pomplamoose, Scary Pockets, Vulfpeck, Orla Gartland, Tessa Violet, Dodie Clark

Coming from a musical family, has being a singer something you’ve always wanted to become?

Nooooo the main joke in my family was that I was going to become a lawyer like my dad because I argued so much. There was also this weird obsession I had in high school with being a packaging designer but that was just a phase.

After 6 albums, how do you manage to always come up with new ideas and keep your music fresh?!

I worked with Shruti Kumar who took each song and made it all the way fresh, so work with an inventive and heart-understanding producer and if you’re looking for song ideas, I highly recommend changing your entire life, lots to process through art.

You have been on some incredible tours in your career! What has been your favorite so far?!

My top favorite tour was definitely with The Mowgli’s, I opened for them and I would steal their drummer, Andy Warren, for my set. They were some of my first friends in LA and watching their set every night is just like pure pop joy. Katie and Josh, the two lead singers have the sweetest vibes and also they brought their dogs on that tour which was so chill.

Can you tell us more about your upcoming tour with Elizabeth and the catapult?!

We’re so excited to harmonies and get cozy for these dates! We haven’t figured out what holiday song we’re gonna throw in there but it’s guaranteed to be beautiful.

What advice do you have for other DIY and unsigned artists?!
Put your music out there! Find whatever cool platform is popping up right now and put out your stuff for free. The more honest and human you are, the better. Don’t be afraid to be weird or try something you haven’t seen before.

What’s next for you?! can you share any details about upcoming projects?

I’m trying to make a music video for every track off UGHWOW so stay tuned!
